Dunki vs Salaar: Bollywood Takes on the South Get Ready for a Mega Showdown! The Ultimate Clash List is Here

There is a stir in both the South and North film industries due to the clash of Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Dinky’ and Prabhas’s ‘Salaar’ on the upcoming Christmas. However, this trend is not going to stop here, because South cinema people are preparing to give a strong challenge to Bollywood in the coming days. Here is a report:

These days, after the tremendous success of Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Jawaan’ at the box office, now all his fans are eagerly waiting for King Khan’s next film ‘Dinky’ to be released on Christmas. The film ‘Dinky’ is also special for the audience because this film has been directed by superhit director Rajkumar Hirani. But meanwhile, superstar Prabhas’ film ‘Salaar’ is also releasing on Christmas. The special thing is that the director of the film ‘Salaar’ is Prashant Neel, whose ‘KGF’ franchise has already become a superhit.

Of course, while Shahrukh has released ‘Pathan’ and ‘Jawaan’ solo till now, this time he will have to face a tough challenge. Earlier, Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has announced the release of his film ‘Pushpa 2’ for Independence Weekend next year. Whereas directors Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgan have already booked this release day for the third film of their superhit ‘Singham’ franchise ‘Singham Again’.

There will be competition with the southerners

Of course, Bollywood actors, who till now had left the field for big Hollywood films, are now getting new challenges from South films. The producers of Hindi films had left the field for two big South films ‘RRR’ and ‘KGF 2’ released last year. But in the coming days, this seems difficult to happen due to more films and less release dates. This year, on Dussehra, Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Leo’ and Telugu superstar Ravi Teja’s ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’ will be released opposite Tiger Shroff’s ‘Ganpat’. At the same time, in April, Jr NTR’s film ‘Devra’ will compete with the director of the superhit film ‘The Kerala Story’, his next film ‘Bastar’. Whereas in the next year 2024, the next part of Kannada superstar Rishabh Shetty’s superhit film ‘Kantara’ ‘Kantara 2’, the next part of Kamal Haasan’s superhit ‘Indian’ ‘Indian 2’, Prabhas’s next film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ and Telugu superstar Ramcharan’s next film ‘Game Changer’ will also be released dubbed in Hindi. In such a situation, it will not be easy for Bollywood either to compete with all these films or to leave the field vacant for them.

‘South and Hollywood will challenge’

Talking about the competition between South and Bollywood films, producer and film business analyst Girish Johar says, ‘Before Corona, Bollywood people used to avoid clashes only with Hollywood, but now they are facing a double challenge in the form of South. However, it will be difficult to avoid these clashes in the coming days. If Bollywood people avoid clash with the South, they will have to clash among themselves. If we talk about the possible clash on Christmas, then on December 22, the clash between Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dinky’ and Telugu superstar Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’ will not be good for the industry. Of course, Prabhas and Prashant Neel will get good response in the South, but Shahrukh and Rajkumar Hirani will lead in the North. At the same time, King Khan, who has made a strong hold in the South with the film ‘Jawaan’, will have to face difficulties in the South. With the release of the next film ‘Aquaman 2’ of the superhit ‘Aquaman’ franchise on the same day, both ‘Dinky’ and ‘Salaar’ will have to face problems in the international market. The release of ‘Aquaman 2’ has been announced long ago. Therefore, despite the tremendous popularity of Shahrukh and Prabhas in overseas, both of them will face difficulty in getting screen space, because the first choice for Hollywood will be ‘Aquaman 2’. Even in India, Jason Momoa has no less fans. Recently he has done an excellent role in ‘Fast X’.
